Foam Party Requirements plus Health & Safety

The foam solution we use is designed specifically for foam and snow party machines. It is certified for use on human skin and is hypoallergenic, non toxic, odourless and is COSHH certified. It is not dangerous to health and is biodegradable. We can supply a copy of our Public Liability Insurance, Risk Assessments and COSHH for your records.

• For Public Events and Schools - Age/Year groups - Each session should consist of the similar size/age children. i.e. a 4 year olds, shouldn't be in the mix with 11 year old children. Private events you can mix age groups and adults, but under strict supervision.

• Set Up - We ideally need space available 30 - 45 minutes before starting. If this is not possible please contact us first to discuss. If we can store equipment near to the set up location we may be able to set up faster.
• Recommended we are not set up too close to things like electrical equipment, stalls, spectators etc as the foam blasts out and can be redirected by the wind slightly. Or too close to ponds, lakes, or anything with aquatic life.
• We ask for a clear space of approx 10m x 10m minimum which should be safety fenced off (we can do this if required). It must be completely clear of obstacles such as benches, chairs, posts etc
• DO NOT Cut the grass area before the foam party. If you want to cut the grass, it should be done at least 2 weeks before the event date.
• Supervisors - There would need to be at least 2 or 3 adult volunteers helping keep an eye on the kids. They don't need to dive into the foam. Just be on hand nearby watching to ensure rules are followed, such as no lying down in the foam (couldn't get squashed), no eating the foam, no running etc. We will also be stating the rules on the day, and have whistles to blow, a bit like life guards.
• Parents – can be on hand, but they should not be jumping around in the snow with the children. If they need to carefully go help their child fine. But there shouldn't be lots of adults raving it up in the snow, with 90 children in the mix it wouldn't be safe.
• Foam lasting times can vary due to factors such as, wind, open space (spreads out more), children running through/ playing in the foam
• Standard Operation would be to run 50 litres of fluid through the machine. This will create an instant wow blanket of snow/foam. Allow this to disperse and then run more fluid throughout the time slot, to top up until all 200 litres has been used.
• All children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Do not allow children to digest or breathe in the foam. It is not dangerous, but in large amounts can cause some coughing and choking.
• Drinking Water - we recommend having drinking water (cups, bottles etc) ready to wash down any accidental swallows or foam in eyes.
• We currently only undertake Epic Foam Parties Outdoors on non slippery surfaces such as grass, or astro pitches. BUT NOT on laminate, wood, concrete, tarmac, or anywhere indoors. You can hold a foam party on almost any relatively flat surface outdoors that is free of obstructions and slip free.
• If there are steps at your location where the foam machine is required, please contact us.
• You must send us a photo of the party location where the foam is to be used, before be can agree your booking
• Ground can become dirty, wet etc. Do not wear suede, leather or any water sensitive clothing items.
• Clothing - We recommend you wear old clothing and shoes that you don't mind getting wet/dirty. It is also suggested to wear Goggles, Swimwear and Water Shoes but not essential.
• The ground will become very wet, so it must be well draining.
• Grass will not die from the Foam solution, but the ground may become slightly muddy etc
• Weather and Cancellation - we can go ahead in most weather conditions. A few drizzles, wind etc are fine, but will effect the foam build up. If heavy rain is forecast all day, we suggest you have back up Gazebo we can blast the foam into so the event can go ahead. There is no refund due to bad weather or any other cancellation reason.
• Wash foam off your skin after the party. Anyone with serious breathing issues, health problems, or pregnant should not enter the foam party.
• We do not accept any responsibility for injury, clothing damage etc.
